Christopher Hitchens, 1949-2011

Christopher Hitchens was one of the few voices on the left willing to defend Enlightenment values from the forces of darkness. While most leftists crumble when faced with Islamic militancy, Mr. Hitchens could always be relied upon to muster a muscular defense of Western ideals. He will be greatly missed.
